BURNETT GROUP FUNDRAISER

The It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation wishes to sincerely thank the Clermont community, in particular, John and Jan Burnett and their family who comprise the Burnett Group, for raising valuable funds for the Foundation in late September.

John Burnett arranged for Steven Bradbury to be the guest speaker at their annual staff development weekend and this transformed into a community event. Invited guests joined the crew for a fun Friday night, including some ‘Last Man Standing’ challenges, dinner and an auction, followed up by a campdrafting clinic and horse sports afternoon on Saturday. This community is renowned for their generosity. Even during difficult times for the people in rural communities, they managed to raise in excess of $17,000 over the weekend. 

John is the brother of our Education Program Facilitator (Ruth Logan) and is a great supporter of her work - raising awareness and getting information to the blokes in the bush.

It’s people and events like this that help to keep our Education Roadshow reaching out to remote regions.
